Australian Cattle Dog

Overview

The Australian Cattle dog is a working dog, and behaves like one; high energy, alert and intelligent, and very easy to train as they are eager to learn. ACDs prefer to be in comfortable, familiar settings, where they feel confident to be affectionate and playful; around new people, strange animals or unique places, they can withdraw, becoming very shy and reserved. As it is good with children, the Australian Cattle dog is great for a family, as long as they give it enough stimulation and time outdoors.
