Belgian Tervuren

Overview

The Belgian Tervuren is a high maintenance, high energy dog that needs plenty of stimulation and very strong leadership; this is a strong willed, elegant, assertive breed. They are vigilant, intelligent and capable. While they can get along with all kinds of people and situations, Tervurens need to be socialized well, from an early age, or their tough mindedness may make them more hostile than is desirable. Given an experienced owner, Tervurens can make great companions.
