Hamiltonstovare (Swedish Foxhound)

A dutiful hunter and an upbeat friend to any and all, the Swedish Foxhound is a happy, loving pet that fits in with an active home. Hamiltonstovares were bred originally for hunting, but they are not vicious towards family; quite the contrary, they are gregarious, party animals with minds of their own. That independent mind is good on the hunt, as they sometimes need to think for themselves; but while being trained, they can often revert to doing whatever it is they consider best, regardless of what anyone else has to say about it. With that said, they can follow orders; but they need encouragement, praise and strength to bring out the best qualities on your Swedish Foxhound.
